In such a case, you can use the command line utility and graphical client of FontForge to convert fonts easily into different formats.
#OTF VS TTF FONT SOFTWARE#
Depending on the nature of your software or project, you may need to use a specific type of font file format and may have to choose between one of them. TTF and OTF fonts are most popular and widely used. You can ignore them and proceed with conversion if they are just warnings and not errors. Note that just like the FontForge command line tool, the graphical client may also prompt you with some warnings as the conversion process will go through the built-in validation system. OTF does have the ability to render letterforms in 2 different ways: in standard TrueType or in Compact Font Format. OpenType was based on TrueType, so not alot is different about them.
